Our flagship ceremonial-grade Fujian Single Cultivar is grown and milled in Zhenghe County in northern Fujian province, an area of China famed for being the birthplace of gongfu tea.
Using exclusively Longjing 43, a native Chinese varietal, this matcha features an elegant, all-rounded flavour profile, a refined umami finish, a deep, forest-green hue and a luxurious, mirror-like microfoam. The Fujian Single Cultivar works wonderfully both as usucha or mixed into a latte.

True origins
Our matcha is grown in China’s Fujian province, where the tradition of tea cultivation can be traced back to the Tang Dynasty over eleven centuries ago. Throughout the centuries, the highest grades of green tea have been grown in these soils, with many emperors electing to source their personal brews from here.
