We return to the origin of matcha, not in Japan, but in 11th-century China during the height of the Song dynasty. It was during this time that the practice of whisking powdered tea was first invented, then enjoyed by both emperors and commoners alike.

We source our matcha from the very same tea hills that have grown China’s finest green tea for centuries, evoking the untarnished flavours of a bygone age.

Isn't matcha supposed to be Japanese?

Matcha is Japanese by preservation, but Chinese by origin. During the Song Dynasty (960–1279), the reigning method of consuming tea was to steam the leaves, grind them into a powder, and whisk them into a froth. Zen monks brought this ritual from China to Japan, where it was perfected and protected while China moved on to steep loose-leaf tea. Japan kept the flame alive. We are simply returning to the initial spark.
Where is Celadon Matcha sourced?

Celadon Matcha is shade-grown and carefully milled in China, honouring the historical Song Dynasty traditions where powdered tea originated. We partner directly with specific estates to ensure our leaves meet the exact cultivation, shading, and milling standards required of premium ceremonial-grade matcha.
How should I store my matcha to maintain its freshness?

Matcha is sensitive to heat, light, and moisture. Before opening, keep the tin in a cool, dark place. Once opened, we highly recommend storing the tightly sealed tin in a cool and dry place. For the best flavour and maximum nutritional benefit, we suggest consuming the matcha within 60 days of opening.
Where do you ship, and how long does delivery take?

We currently offer standard and expedited shipping across Hong Kong and Macau. Orders are typically processed within one business day. Standard delivery usually takes 2–3 business days, while expedited next-day delivery is available at checkout for most locations. Tracking details are provided via email as soon as your package dispatches.
What is your return policy if I am not satisfied?

We stand by the quality of our tea. Every first-time purchase is protected by our 30-Day Satisfaction Guarantee. If the matcha does not meet your expectations, please reach out to us via the Contact page within 30 days of receiving your order. We will issue a full refund for the matcha.
